Synopsis & Listing Information

Atlas Crest Investment Corp. was the first SPAC vehicle from Moelis & Company, which targeted the sustainable mobility sector.

Ticker Clarification: While legacy systems sometimes display ACI.W, the official NYSE symbol during its SPAC phase was ACIC.WS (units were ACIC.U).

Business Combination: On September 16, 2021, the company completed its merger with Archer Aviation Inc., an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developer.

Ticker Transition: Upon the merger, the warrants transitioned to the symbol ACHR.W (or ACHRW) on the NYSE.

Warrant Terms: Each whole warrant entitles the holder to purchase one share of Class A common stock at $11.50. Per the warrant agreement, only whole warrants are tradable and exercisable.

Note on Atlas Crest II: A second vehicle, Atlas Crest Investment Corp. II (ACII), failed to complete a merger and liquidated in 2023. Its warrants (ACII.WS) became worthless upon liquidation.

Current Status: As of May 2026, the ACHR.W warrants are active. The company is currently progressing through the final phases of FAA type certification for its flagship aircraft, "Midnight."

Warrant Terms
  • Expiration Date: The last day the warrants can be exercised. If warrants aren't going to be exercised then they must be sold the day before the expiry date. The longer the time to expiry the more valuable the warrants.
  • Leverage: A measure of how much you can increase your exposure to a share if you bought warrants instead of making a direct investment. It is the current share price divided by the current price of the warrant.
  • Intrinsic Value: The difference between the exercise price and the actual trading price of the common stock. Once the common has gone over the exercise price, the warrants are "In the Money."
  • Volatility: The higher the volatility rating, the higher the price of the warrant. Historical volatility is calculated by using the standard deviation of an underlying stock price over a specific period.
  • Time Value: The difference between the current warrant price and its intrinsic value. Interpreted as the consideration paid for the advantage the warrant buyer has over the direct investor.
