A total of 25.75 million common share purchase warrants of Argonaut Gold Ltd. will be listed and posted for trading at the opening on Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, under the following trading information:

The warrants were issued in connection with a private placement of subscription receipts that closed on Nov. 20, 2009. Each subscription receipt was exchanged for one common share and one-half of one common share purchase warrant pursuant to the completion of a qualifying transaction, which occurred on Dec. 29, 2009, and the subsequent listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange of the common shares of the company on Dec. 31, 2009.

Each warrant entitles the holder to purchase one common share of the company at $4.50 per share until 5 p.m. (Toronto time) on Dec. 29, 2012.

The warrants are governed by the terms of a warrant indenture dated Dec. 30, 2009, between the company and Computershare Trust Company of Canada, as warrant agent. The warrant indenture will provide for appropriate adjustments to the warrants in the event of stock dividends, subdivisions, consolidations and other forms of capital reorganization.
