Holders of common shares of record as of the close of business on May 14, 1998 will be granted the right to subscribe for additional common shares of the company at a subscription price of $4.25 per share. The rights are evidenced by transferable rights certificates registered in the names of holders of common shares of record on the record date on the basis of one right for each common share held, ten rights and the sum of $4.25 being required to subscribe for one additional common share. The rights will expire at 4:00 p.m., (Toronto time), on June 14, 1998.
The common shares of the company will commence trading on an ex-rights basis at the opening on Tuesday, May 12, 1998, at which time the rights will be posted for trading on a when issued basis.
